We're Not a Warehouse.
We're Your Local
Supply Partner.
Trotter Door & Trim is a locally owned supply company based in Santee, serving the East County San Diego area. We carry doors, windows, flooring, skylights, trim, and hardware — and we supply them to contractors, investors, designers, and homeowners who want more than a box dropped at a loading dock.
We were built around a simple idea: that the people doing the work — and the people living in the spaces — deserve a supplier who actually knows the products, answers the phone, and shows up when they say they will. That's what we do every single day.
Why People Work With Us
We don't compete on being the cheapest. We compete on being the most useful — because a supplier who saves you time, catches spec errors before they become callbacks, and delivers to your job site on schedule is worth more than one who shaves a few dollars off the invoice.
The Trade Program
Contractors, designers, and investors can open a free trade account in about five minutes. There are no tiers, no standing discounts, and no complicated sign-up process. What you get is a named contact, priority service, and a supplier that treats your account like it matters — because it does.
Trade account holders get access to same-day quotes, coordinated job site delivery, product spec sheets and submittals for client presentations, early access to new product arrivals, and showroom appointments for client visits. We also actively refer trade account holders to each other — if you're a flooring contractor and we know a great painter, we'll make that introduction.
We offer three payment options depending on the account and the project:
COD / Credit Card — available to all accounts from day one, no application required.
Net-30 Terms — available to established accounts after three successful orders, with two trade references. Keeps cash flowing on busy job months.
Escrow Payment — for qualifying investors only. See below.
Fix & Flip Investors — We Built This for You Too
If you're flipping properties in the East County area, Trotter Door & Trim is built for the way you work. We know your timelines are tight, your capital is tied up in the purchase and renovation, and the last thing you need is a supplier who can't turn a quote around or deliver on time.
Escrow Payment — Unique to Trotter
For qualifying investor accounts, we offer the option to be paid through escrow at close — meaning you can purchase your doors, flooring, trim, and hardware now and pay when the property sells. No big-box store will ever offer this. Ask us about qualifying.
Beyond escrow, investor accounts get the same benefits as all trade accounts — same-day quotes, job site delivery, and a team that knows which products photograph well, hold up to buyer scrutiny, and deliver the value-to-cost ratio that makes a flip work.
Part of the Trotter Family
Trotter Door & Trim is owned and operated by Dustin Trotter — the same Dustin behind TDT Construction, East County's full-service remodel and new construction contractor. That connection matters. The products we supply are the same products we use on our own job sites, specified by someone who understands what holds up in the real world and what doesn't.
When you source from Trotter Door & Trim, you're not buying from a middleman who has never swung a hammer. You're buying from a builder who has — and who built a supply company because he couldn't find a local supplier he trusted enough to recommend to his own clients.
We're based in Santee and serve contractors, investors, designers, and homeowners throughout the East County area — Santee, El Cajon, La Mesa, Lakeside, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, and surrounding communities.
Trade accounts are free and take about five minutes to open. Or if you have a project coming up, just send us the details and we'll get a quote back to you the same business day.
